Welcome
My name is Emily and I am a specialist counsellor working in the field of sexual harm.
Whether you are under investigation, have been convicted, or you are a partner, family member or loved one affected by this, you are not alone. I offer a space where you can be heard without judgement and supported through what can feel overwhelming and frightening.
I have worked in this field throughout my career. I previously worked within the probation service facilitating group programmes for men with convictions for sexual offences and supporting women individually. Alongside this I have provided counselling in prison and managed counselling services for people following release into the community.
I now specialise as a counsellor in this area because I care deeply about this work and the people affected by it. I also work with charities supporting partners and families, who are often left without guidance or understanding.
Why work with me?
I bring both therapeutic support and practical understanding. I have extensive knowledge of the criminal justice process — from investigation and sentencing through to release and reintegration.
I understand SHPOs, SOR requirements and licence conditions, and the pressures these restrictions place on everyday life. Having delivered accredited group programmes, I can also help you make sense of what is expected and support you through the process.
Clients often tell me that what helps most is feeling emotionally supported while also working with someone who understands the reality of the system they are facing. For partners and families, who frequently feel excluded and confused, I can also help you understand what is happening and what comes next.
This can be a life-shattering experience.
You may feel isolated, ashamed or overwhelmed.
When it feels like no one understands — I will.
When it feels like no one can help - I can.
